Retreats for Muslim women. Fully-inclusive, female only group trips designed for Muslim women like you and I. We plan and organise everything. All you need to do is pack a suitcase and have the most wonderful week with a group of like-minded sisters who share your values.

GROUPS

Female only. Join on your own or with a friend or family member. Groups are usually between 15-20 women. 2 group leaders at all times to make sure you are safe & having the best time.

FULLY-INCLUSIVE

We organise everything! From food to accommodation, airport pickup to activities. You don’t have to think about or pay for a single thing on the trip.

POOL

We have our OWN pool! Are you serious!? Swim when you like, sunbathe, sleep…relax! It is SUCH a luxary.

OPPORTUNITY

The opportunity for us to be able to do something we might never get to do. Swim in the turquoise waters in Zanzibar, visit the Alhambra palace, explore the wonders of Marrakech. We have to TAKE these opportunities.

PERFECT BALANCE

We try to find the the perfect balance between organised fun and relaxation. Fancy a morning yoga session? Explore the local sites? Relax in a hammock? Do as much or as little as you like.

DELICIOUS FOOD

We have our own private chef! Delicious, fresh and healthy food. We also eat out in local restaurants. Of course, everything is halal….and fully-inclusive.

ISLAMIC HISTORY

Connect with the history of our deen. Hear the adhan, learn about how Muslims used to live and practice. Be blown away by the wonders and intricacies of the Islamic architecture. Really fill you cup.

MUSLIM VALUES

This is not a “religious” retreat. We don’t teach or preach, but every tiny detail is organised for us as Muslim women. From prayer timetables, halal food, mosque trips and gathering together to pray and reflect on Allah's creation.

SUPPORT

You will have trained group leaders with you at all times on the retreat (female of course). They are like your best travel buddy. They are there to have fun with you….but also take care of all the organisation.

FUN ACTIVITIES

So many fun activities to try. From pottery to breathwork, yoga to walking in the countryside. All organised. Do as much or as little as you like.

NATURE

Escape from the busy hustle and bustle of life back home. Take a walk in the stunning gardens, sip your coffee on the terrace overlooking the mountains. Feel your shoulders relax and your stresses melt away.

TRAVEL SAFE

Whether it’s your first solo trip or not, travelling alone can seem scary. We take care of everything! From helping you book flights, pairing you up with other sisters from your area, or picking you up from the airport. You are not alone.

MEMORIES

Experiences and memories that will last a lifetime. Laughs over dinner and chats around the fire pit. Hearing the adhan for the first time. Connecting with the Islamic history & culture.

SISTERHOOD

Make friends for life. Finding like-minded women who share your values can be very difficult in day-to-day life. Here you have a group of open-hearted women, who share your values and want to connect. Hundreds of beautiful, life-long friendships have been made already.

RELAX

Having time to relax and rejuvenate is SO important. No matter how hectic our lives are, it is important to make time for YOU! We can’t be the best version of ourselves for our family, work, or friends if we are constantly stressed & burnt out! Relaaaaax.

YOU TIME

Put yourself first for once! How often do we put others ahead of ourselves? (most of the time, right!?) You deserve a break to have fun and experience the wonders Allah has created. Do this for you! 😊

COMFORT ZONE

Get out of your comfort zone in an environment that is safe & stress-free! Responsibilities back home often put our lives on hold. You wake up one day and realize you haven’t challenged yourself in a long time. Personal growth and development are wonderful things.

It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from, how you dress, how old you are or how “religious” you are. Maybe you need a break from work/ kids/ life. Maybe you want to travel and experience new things in a safe environment. Or maybe you want to meet like-minded sisters and strengthen your iman. As long as you are female and over 18 (or 16 if with an adult) and come with an open heart…then this is for you! 😊

FEMALE ONLY

It doesn’t matter who you are, where you are from, how you dress or how “religious” you are. As long as you are female and come with an open heart.

AGE

Over 18, or 16 if accompanied on the trip by an adult. The average age is roughly 24-45, but age is just a number…there is no age limit. We’ve had women join in their 70s.

ANY COUNTRY

It doesn’t matter where you are from. We have had women join from just about everywhere. From the US & Canada to Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

OPEN HEART

As long as you come with an open and genuine heart and intention to share the experience with other women…you will have the most wonderful week.

AS YOU ARE

We always say “come as you are.” Never worry about being judged or fitting in. Just be your authentic self. You are ALWAYS good enough! 😊

FIRST TIME

No travel experience needed. Whether you have never left your country, never travelled without family…or you solo travel a lot, we are here to support you all the way.

NOT RELIGIOUS

This is not a “religious” retreat. We don’t teach or preach. It doesn’t matter if you pray or not or how often. You might just be interested in Islam.

REMEMBERING ALLAH

Surround yourself with Muslim sisters who inspire and uplift you, and with whom you can reflect on the beauty of Allah together. Pray together, chat together…this is what sisterhood is all about.

SOLO OR TOGETHER

Come on your own, or with friends or family (female only of course). Most women join on their own, but if your friends or family want to join, great! We have had some wonderful mother-daughter duos join us.

NEED A BREAK?

If you are in need of a break to rest, relax, and rejuvenate…whether that’s from work, kids, family, studies, responsibilities or just “life”….then you are in the right place.

COMFORT ZONE

If you are feeling a little trapped and stagnant by the monotony of day-to-day, then come experience new things, create new memories, and travel to new places. Getting out of our comfort zone is so important for our self-development…and doing so in a safe environment like this is a win-win!

HEALING

We don’t say "come and be healed” because that is not what the retreats are about, as such. However, when you bring together women who share the same values, who all want to relax, have fun, build friendships, and grow in our deen...it’s amazing the healing that happens.

With over 600 women joining +40 trips, we have tried to find the perfect balance between organised fun and relaxing. We usually split the week in 2 parts…the first 4 night at a gorgeous countryside retreat centre, followed by 2 nights in the city. Daily activities from yoga to sightseeing, pottery to walks. There is always something to do…or not, if you’d prefer to relax. Do as much or as little as you like. Lots of time to relax by the pool or read in a hammock.

Which location should I choose?

Not sure which one to choose? Don’t worry! We try to keep exactly the same vibe, experience and itinerary across all our trips…so whichever you choose, you will have an incredible time. If you have a preference, great! If not, just go with the dates that work for you! :)

Life is stressful enough. Most of us don’t have the time or mental capacity to plan and stress over organising a big trip. It doesn’t matter if this is your first time travelling, first trip without the family…or you are a seasoned traveller, we take care of ALL the planning, organising and booking for you. You literally just turn up and enjoy.

LEADERS

Usually 2 trained leaders on each trip. They will take care of all the logistics from flights and transport, to the itinerary, timings, tours, food and sleeping arrangements. You name it, they have it covered.

AIRPORT PICKUP

We will be there to pick you up from the airport. Never worry about arriving at the airport and not knowing where to go or how to get there.

ALL TRANSPORT

From picking you up at the airport, taxis into the city, private coach to the sites…you don’t need to think about (or pay for) anything.

TOURS

All your tours and entrance fees will be taken care of.

GUIDES

Local guides so you can get the most out of the history and culture. Really fill up your cup and feel enriched.

TRIP PACK

Itineraries, prayer times, contact information, packing lists. It’s all there.

RESTAURANTS

There’s no need to spend hours on TripAdvisor trying to find the best local restaurants (that are also halal friendly)….we’ve already got them booked :)

CHEF

It’s your week off! No meal planning, prep or cooking. Delicious, healthy, fresh & local produce. Enjoy meal times chatting, having fun and gazing at the breathtaking views.

ACTIVITIES

So many fun activities to try. From yoga to pottery, swimming to journaling. Do as much or as little as you like. All beginner friendly.

RELAX

Our aim is for you to totally relax, rejuvenate and have fun. So many places to relax. By the pool, in a hammock, on the terrace with a coffee….feel your shoulders relax.

CHAT

If you need ANYTHING, just let us know. Feel free to hop on a chat or Zoom at any point. From flights to swimsuit suggestions….no questions is too small or silly.

Your safety and wellbeing is always our number one priority. We only use services and accommodation that we trust. Leaders are all trained and support coordinators are on hand who speak the local language in case of an emergency. You and your loved ones can rest assured that we will take amazing care of you.

SUPPORT

We are always available to chat and help you with anything. We have a live chat or hop on a Zoom call with us :)

TRAVEL

Our travel coordinators will make sure you have the correct flights and all arrangements have been made. Need help finding flights…no worries, we love a challenge.

PAIR UP

If you would rather travel with someone else, we will try to pair you up with another sisters coming from your area (where possible).

MAHRAM

If you had wanted to travel with a mahram, then we can help make arrangements for them too. They can’t travel or stay with us on the trip (it’s female only), but we will help where we can. Some women have even brought their husbands/kids who stayed locally.

TRANSPORT

We will arrange all transport for you on the trip. Local companies that we know and trust. The only transport not included is the return back to the airport on the final day, however your leaders will help you make any necessary arrangements.

LEADERS

At least one, usually 2-3 group leaders (female only, of course) are with you throughout the trip. All are trained to ensure you have the best week and are safe at all times.

ACCOMMODATION

We only stay in accommodation that we have vetted and would stay in ourselves.

LOCATION

We only stay in locations we know are safe and secure. We have a wonderful relationship with the locals and retreat owners.

LANGUAGE

Local Moroccan and Spanish speakers on hand in case of emergency.

ARRIVAL

We will be there to pick you up from the airport. Never worry about arriving at the airport and not knowing where to go or how to get there.

The idea of travelling across the world to meet a group of strangers might seem scary. We all have those negative thoughts and self-doubts in the back of minds, like…. “what if I don’t fit in?” But honestly, within an hour of arriving you are already sharing things you’ve never told anyone else. Just come with an open heart and be your authentic self. 100s of life-long friendships have started on a retreat.

ROOM BUDDIES

A week earlier you had never met, then you share a room and become best friends.

UMRAH

Palwasha, Iman, Ruaa, Nadia, Jannah & Fatima, who all met in Spain in 2023, kicked off 2024 with Umrah together.

LEADERS

Over 20 women who previously joined a retreat have come back again as group leaders. Nora is also now our Morocco coordinator and Zaynab on our support team.

TRAVELLING

Nora & Dounia who met on a Spain retreat, spent a week exploring Morocco together.

BACK AGAIN

Rachel and Samreen will have been on 3 retreats in 2 years each. Samreen is doing her 2nd & 3rd retreat back to back (straight from Morocco to Spain).

INTERNATIONAL

Adna and Diyana met on our Spain retreat. Adna went out to Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia to visit her.

REUNION

In 2023 we did a Spain reunion…in Morocco. Over 25 women who first joined a getaway in Spain, flew out for another week in Morocco.

BACK HOME

We’ve lost count of the number of times retreat goers from the same country (or different) have met up back home.

We are a team of Muslim women, of all ages and walks of life, who love travelling, creating new memories and connecting like-minded women. Everyone in the team started out joining a retreat themselves.…and loved it so much, that they decided to give up their own time to help give others the same opportunity.

To save your space on a trip, you only have to pay a £100 deposit (approx. $130/ CA$170 / €115). You then have the option to split the remaining cost of your trip into smaller monthly installments. The maximum number of installments is 6 and depends on how many months until your trip.

Cancellation and refund policy: You may cancel your retreat booking at any point. Cancellations must be made in writing to salaam+bookings@sistersgetaway.com. Flexible Ticket Insurance: Your retreat package is covered by our “Flexible Ticket Insurance.” Deposits are non refundable, however, you may transfer your deposit and any payments already made, to any other retreat, where a space is available, no less than 60 days before the start of your original retreat booking, for FREE. This must be made in writing to salaam+bookings@sistersgetaway.com. Paying for your retreat: You can opt to pay your remaining balance in either one payment (full amount) or installments (multiple payments). Should you choose to pay in installments, your first installment will be due within 14 days of your deposit being paid. All payments must be received no less than 30 days before the start of the retreat. We reserve the right to cancel your retreat if you fail to do so. Cancelling without transferring: There is no fee for transferring your retreat space to another date. If you cancel your retreat and do not transfer to another retreat date, a cancellation fee may apply, as we are likely to have incurred costs in relation to a cancelled booking (including, without limitation, charges which are imposed on us by the suppliers). More than 84 days before the retreat - Loss of deposit. 84-64 days - 30% of the total cost of the retreat. 63-50 days - 50% of the total cost of the retreat. 49-30 days - 70% of the total cost of the holiday. 29 days or fewer -100% of the total cost of the retreat. No fees will be waived in the event of personal loss or injury. We recommend you consult with your Travel Insurance company to request a refund on any fees liable.
